Results of the A.D. Competition 2021 “Stay at home”

 

The School of Architecture and Design has organized the AD OPEN HOUSE 2021 project, has organized a contest under the concept of “stay-with-home-guard-with-house” by judging the contest on the 7th. Last September 2021, from 3 qualified committees with 46 works that were considered, divided into Type 1 (Junior Designer) amounting to 3 pieces and Type 2 (Senior Designer) amounting to 43 pieces, with the following resolutions:

 

> Category 1 (Junior Designer) has 1 winning prize, runner-up prize, none because the quality of the work cannot be considered. The details are as follows.

– The first prize (plaque / certificate / prize money 5,000 baht) are as follows:

1. Mr. Warit Suksawad Na Ayudhya “The Folder”

 

>>> Category 2 (Senior Designer) has 1 winning prize in the runner-up category. From the meeting of the committee of experts commented that only 1 work received the award. from the original having to have 2 pieces. There will be 3 consolation prizes with details as follows:

 

– The first prize has 1 prize (plaque / certificate / prize money 5,000 baht) as follows:

1. Mr. Phuwasit Buakhao “The Second House”

 

– 1st runner-up prize, 1 prize (certificate / prize money 2,000 baht) are:

1. Mr. Atsadej Kuasakul “Reflects on Lenon’s way of lobbling fish”

 

– Three consolation prizes (certificate / prize money 1,000 baht) are:

1. Ms. Kornkamol Boonlue “All in One”

#Title and content of the work submitted for the contest 📌📌📌
The School of Architecture and Design organizes the AD OPEN HOUSE project every year. This year, a contest has been organized under the concept of “stay-with-home-watch-with-house” in the current situation with the COVID-19 outbreak causing many families to live with. house as main which still have to work or perform their own duties differently, such as working from home / learning from home / selling from home, etc. Most of these incidents are still temporarily occupied areas. Therefore, the concept of “staying at home – keeping with the house” is for designers to help reorganize the environment of their own home. which can increase – decrease / adjust – change the old area to respond to the new activities that have occurred, resulting in a new space that is perfect for use and can still be used in daily life as usual.

#Details of sending work 📂📂📂
– Design and specify the name of the work on a horizontal A3 size image file, 1 sheet, without limitation on presentation techniques. The image file submitted must be a .JPG file with a resolution of not less than 300 DPI or an image file size of not less than 10MB.
– In the work, show the pattern of the area before and after the renovation design, amount 1 area
– Show design ideas to show the acceptance of upcoming activities

📢📢 Call for Extended Abstracts
 
School of Architecture and Design, Walailak University and Collaborative Network plan to organize The 1st International Symposium of Architecture and Design on 3rd September 2021 to improve the research culture and share knowledge in architecture and its related fields. Therefore, The school calls for extended abstracts from those who have researched architecture and its associated areas.
Please refer following guidelines for preparing your extended abstracts;
 
Extended Abstract Length Extended abstracts should be at least three pages, but not more than five pages in length including the references. Word limit is 1500 – 2,000 words.
The elements of your extended abstract can be organized in the following order listed:

⏺ Main Body Text (including a concise review of extent literature methodology, findings, discussion, and summary sections)
