Message from the Dean
Associate Professor Dr. Wiruj Thinnakorn
“We are inspired by what we build just as much as you are. While you possess an eager curiosity, I, having dedicated all my energy over the past forty years to architecture, remain driven by discovery no less than you.” These words were spoken by Le Corbusier to students at an architecture school. Though uttered over 60 years ago, this statement remains remarkably relevant to contemporary education at the School of Architecture and Design. Here, we cultivate students’ creativity through the integration of architectural design and building technology disciplines, while our faculty continuously seek new knowledge to enrich and evolve the learning process.
In the post-COVID-19 era, despite progress on many fronts, we continue to face ongoing disruption across multiple dimensions. Many challenges remain unresolved and unpredictable. Survival no longer depends solely on talent or extensive knowledge, but on the vital capacities for lifelong learning and rapid adaptability to face an ever-changing future.
Within our current academic context, we remain steadfast in learning, acquiring new knowledge, and adapting together. Our goal is to craft modern curricula that strengthen academic excellence, ultimately producing high-quality graduates who will serve as key drivers in the architectural profession.
